Traversing the generations SOLD
Mixed media on canvas
88cm x 88cm x 4cm
I chose to paint this piece from my personal point of view in the back seat of my mother's car. It's forms part of many fond memories I have of crossing the bridge.
I chose to include metallic paints, ink and collaged newspaper as a nod to the history of the Derwent river estuary below the bridge.
My families generations have been traversing this bridge for many years but I look forward the most to see where the future bridge and future generations are going to take us.
